Celebrates 40 years of operation!
Quadco Rehabilitation Center opened its doors in February of 1969 with a mission that was as true then as it is today: to provide training programs and employment opportunities that assist people with disabilities to have a respectful self-sufficient place in the community.
Quadco’s formation was unique in that it was a cooperative arrangement between Williams, Defiance, Henry and Fulton Counties, the first such cooperative center in the state. The idea was to provide an array of quality services with the economy of serving a wide area. That has proven to be true through the years of Quadco’s operation.
In order to accommodate the arrangement, the Quadco Administrative Board was formed under Chapter 167 as a Council of Government, perhaps also the first occurrence of that in the state, to provide an adult vocational rehabilitation program. Shortly after, the Quadco Non-Profit Board was formed following other models of newly-formed county boards of MR/DD to oversee the production work and provide for workers’ wages. The boards continue to meet to today to further the mission and address the needs of the people being served.
One of the important ways Quadco fulfills the mission of serving the individuals who participate in the programs is with a professional, caring staff. Satisfaction surveys consistently rate the staff at Quadco highly for the respect and care they provide for the individuals being served.
Maintaining a high level of excellence, Quadco meets the accreditation standards set by the Ohio Department of MR/DD, is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, and is accredited by CARF (formerly known as the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for Employment Services: Organizational Employment Services.
We work with many area businesses who have come to rely on our production ability and quality. Our commitment to meeting the highest quality standards as evidenced by our ISO 9001:2008 certifications at both our Stryker and Archbold facilities.
