GenFed Credit Union promotion yields a $1,025 contribution for Quadco
The “Warm the Soles” project held this year by the GenFed Credit Union in Bryan is set to warm the spirits of many people at Quadco! Staff and members of the local credit union pulled together and raised $1,025 in their annual promotion. Employees at the GenFed Credit Union in Bryan have “adopted” the folks at Quadco as the recipients of their yearly project. Once again they warmed the soles of their feet and this year set out to put together a basket full of goodies that would give the winner a wonderful warm gift to enjoy during the cold winter months. They received some donations from the Stoney Ridge Winery, Wal-Mart, and Chief Supermarket and then added some items themselves. Soon the basket was filled with things that included 2 bottles of wine, glasses, a corkscrew, cheese, a beefstick, a throw blanket, and a $10 Chief gift certificate. For three weeks before Thanksgiving, members of the credit union purchased tickets hoping their name would be drawn out as the winner, but also knowing the proceeds were going for the people at Quadco. When it was all said and done, the project raised over $1,000, and that raised a cheer from everyone! Shown here are employees at the the GenFed Credit Union in Bryan as they proudly show the check they presented recently to Quadco for $1,025 raised in their “Warm the Soles” promotion. Pictured from left to right are: Jody Moss, Cathy Colon, Candice Nowakowski, Lori Garcia, Branch Manager Vicki Sefton, and Jill Sheperd. The contribution will be used to help cover the expenses of the events and activities the workers at Quadco so enjoy, such as the Christmas party and awards day. Thanks to everyone at GenFed Credit Union, 121 South Union Street, in Bryan for such a wonderful gift!
